How to book your shoot
You can choose your date and time on after checkout.

STEP 1: Choose your package and book and pay for your session
STEP 2: Complete the booking form and choose your date from my calendar on the next page after purchase
STEP 3: We will then send you our shooting for success guide and styling kit to help to you prepare, feel confident and make the most of your family photoshoot
STEP 4: You'll book any hair, makeup and beauty appointments so you feel amazing on the day
STEP 5: We will be in contact the week before your shoot to confirm all the details and hold your pre-shoot phone consultation
STEP 6: On the day of your shoot, we'll then have a fun and relaxed photoshoot with a lot of laughter and minimal direction to capture the most natural smiles possible!
STEP 7: You'll be surprised and delighted as your images are revealed in a secure online gallery about 14 days after your photoshoot. Don't be surprised if you tear up as you see all of the love and connection of your family that we see! You'll select your favourites images (and likely want to buy them all!)

Hey there! I'm Karen Fish, the owner, operator and dreamer behind Karen Allamby Photography, and although I travel all over Sydney and NSW for shoots I am based in rural Junee NSW.
It's no secret that I'm a country girl born and bred and I seriously love a sunset shoot in a beautiful location!
My schedule is crazy full these days, so the easiest way for me to make sure that my clients never miss out is by making sure I update my availability for my VIP community before any others - you guys are the ones that make this journey an amazing one!

What should we wear?
I want you to be as prepared as possible, so prior to your session, you will be sent a session guide, with ideas about what to wear and how to get the most out of your session.
I even include some colour palette suggestions with ideas of how to mix and match the whole family’s wardrobe in a coordinated but not matching uniform way!
Where should we hold our shoot?
Baby photography is best indoors at our our Junee studio (10 Belmore Street) or your home, where everyone will be relaxed, comfortable and it's convenient. Your home does not need to look like something off Instagram or in a magazine – the rooms just need to have good natural light.
For older children and family photography, location shoots usually work better, somewhere where there is room to run around and explore!
So choose your home or your favourite scenic location for your photo shoot, or I can help with location suggestions if you prefer.
Do you only hold sessions of an evening?
To be totally honest my favourite time to shoot is in the lead up to sunset, I know that it can be a crazy time for kids but the benefits usually outweigh the once off tiredness and the results are my all time favourites.
I can of course work around your particular requirements but sunset is my preference and the time that most of the examples that you will see me share were taken.
How soon should I book?
Outdoor sessions are held of an evening on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays usually, although Sydney dates do depend on when I am there, and Studio sessions are held on Thursday and Saturday mornings. Sessions are typically booked 2-4 weeks in advance, (although Maternity Leave will extend the lead time as I catch up on all of my pre-booked sessions!) and weekend dates tend to book out the most quickly.
If you need the images for a particular date, keep in mind that you will receive your gallery to view 2 weeks after your session. Once you have decided on your images and your payment has been received, it will take 2-4 weeks to receive your finished products depending on what you have ordered.
